I have been noticing recently that there is a large amount of confusion regarding who is who, who uses what, and where content comes from. Please do not believe what others say over the official statements made by both us and Vocalekt Visions regarding this matter.

After a week of splitting, re-encoding, and combining videos, a week waiting for Shinji to finish the edit, two days of finalization and encoding, and another day to upload, the video is finally done! Unfortunately there was some quality loss due to multiple encoding runs (the footage I got back was in Panasonic P2 format, which I had to completely re-encode so Shinji could work with it), but it's not too noticeable in the video during the show itself.

Posted by Re:VB-P on 22 February 2013 | 0 Comments

This year we will be bringing a bigger and better show back to RIT's Tora-Con anime convention! This show will feature a much larger set list than the previous year's show, as well as countless stage, sound, lighting, and projection improvements. This year we will be using the brand new version of the AniMiku virtual concert rendering engine; the same one used in our record-breaking show at Nekocon 15 in Virginia.

Posted by Re:VB-P on 14 August 2012 | 0 Comments

As a side project, I started working on a PMD model import plugin for 3DS Max (professional 3D modeling software). All the plugin does right now is load in the physical model, but not any materials, textures, bones, etc. It makes a nice base for converting to other formats though.

Posted by Re:VB-P on 29 July 2012 | 0 Comments

For the past few months, I have been working on re-writing the rendering engine that AniMiku uses. If you looked far enough into the program, you would know that it currently uses MMDAgent to render the models to the screen. I was unhappy with the quality of the models and how MMDA worked, so I decided to write my own engine to replace it. This new engine was coded entirely by me, file parsers and everything, and was built from the ground up specifically to be used to create holographic performances.
